The screen is more fluid and there is no need for the annoying registration number the original Flytouch 2 Required. GPS navigation is pre-installed and it also has the official google android marketplace.

Japan rattled by college entrance exam cheat case

The arrest of a 19-year-old applicant to prestigious Kyoto University dominated the major newspapers and TV news shows. Japanese media say he could become the first person to be prosecuted in the country for cheating.

The case raised questions over whether the country's top universities — the gateway to top jobs in Japan's corporate culture — have adapted to the Internet's new opportunities for cheating.

"It's not a mere cheating case," an editorial in the nationwide Mainichi newspaper said. "The impact of the wrongful use of the Internet, capable of massively spreading information instantly, is huge."

Police said they arrested the student Thursday on suspicion that he obstructed business through fraud. If convicted, he could face up to three years in prison or a fine of 500,000 yen ($6,000), though media reports have indicated that he will likely not be charged.

Even if convicted, he would likely be able to reapply to universities, since most Japanese schools don't check applicants' criminal records. His name has been withheld because he is a minor under Japanese law.

The suspect admitted to wrongdoing, and the case will be sent to prosecutors Saturday, according to a police official who spoke on condition of anonymity citing department rules.

Admission to Japan's top universities, seen as a prerequisite for a good job in government or business, is determined by applicants' performance on grueling entrance examinations, and young people face enormous pressure preparing for them. Many high school graduates who fail to get into their school of choice cram full-time for a full year for another shot — and sometimes longer until they make it.

The suspect is accused of turning to a popular question-and-answer site run by Yahoo Japan for help during a test. His eight alleged postings from Feb. 25-26, the exam days at Kyoto University, are still viewable online.

Using the online alias "aicezuki" — whose meaning was unknown — the suspect asked for help in solving mathematical formulas and translating Japanese passages into English. After one, he ended politely, "It's a rather long passage, and I apologize for the trouble."

Various answers were then posted throughout the day.

The case was brought to light after someone who saw the Yahoo message board postings called the university on the second day of the test, triggering an investigation.

Police also suspect that he used similar cheating tactics at three other top universities — Doshisha, Waseda and Rikkyo — earlier in February. Officials at the those universities found similar questions posted under the same online alias on exam dates for those schools and have requested an investigation.

Police have confiscated the youth's cell phone, subscribed under his mother's name, for further investigation and analysis. There was no indication he had accomplices, police said.

The case also has some wondering whether the nation's venerable colleges are keeping up with modern technology. At Kyoto University, test takers must switch off their mobile phones and keep them in their bags. But many students take the test at the same time, and modern phones can quickly scan in long chunks of Japanese text through their cameras.

"Entrance exams should be strictly impartial, and that the occurrence of such an incident could spread alarm to the applicants as well as society, and is highly regrettable," wrote Kyoto University President Hiroshi Matsumoto in a statement posted online.

If the student is found to have cheated, the universities plan to disqualify him.

Other universities are scrambling to take measures, such as having test takers keep each of their cell phones in envelopes after switching them off and place them on desktop.

"Supervision is very important. Universities have always been aware of this, but especially because this case occurred, they should proceed properly," said Education Minister Yoshiaki Takaki told reporters Friday.

Brake less and save fuel

Fuel prices are always on the increase as our Earth's resources are being depleted and its really not the car you drive, but how you drive it. And using the brakes less saves you more money, and fuel.

I've tried this and not only does it save money and petrol, it makes your driving much smoother as well. Instead of revving the engine at the lights just to get up to speed and then braking again in about 10m for another red light just wastes a ton of fuel. And by braking, its as good as dumping your fuel into the drain because you're just wasting the fuel that you used to get up to speed. So using the brakes less and controlling that heavy right hoof of yours will save you fuel.

Of course you won't be going as fast but then again, why do you have to? On the expressway, maintaining a constant speed and watching out for cars braking far ahead will keep you from braking unnecessarily because you can lift off the throttle and cruise without wasting any petrol. On roads with loads of traffic lights, maybe just accelerating gradually instead of flooring the pedal could help retain some cash in your wallet.

Teenager returns to Dodgers camp cancer-free

The teenager asked for a tryout with the Los Angeles Dodgers a year ago after he had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. The Make-a-Wish Foundation fulfilled his request, not knowing Ramirez would overcome his cancer and return to spring training.

"It feels great. Things have turned out the best," Ramirez said Saturday at Camelback Ranch.

The 18-year-old from San Francisco underwent chemotherapy and radiation after being diagnosed with glioblastoma following a seizure. His tumor has been reduced to the size of a pinhead and he is in remission.

"I'm so grateful he's really healthy," said his mother, Sara Beltran.

Ramirez still dreams of a career in baseball. He is a redshirt on the Skyline Junior College team in the Bay Area.

"This summer I'll be playing a lot of baseball and hoping more scouts will come and see me play," he said.

A year ago, Ramirez worked out with the Dodgers, throwing a bullpen session, fielding grounders, going through defensive drills and taking batting practice. He wore a team uniform and was given a locker in the clubhouse.

On Saturday, he took in the Dodgers' 2-0 win over Cincinnati with his mother and 12-year-old sister, Erika.

"I still can't believe the cancer I had. I got real lucky with the type of cancer that I had because it's rare and you're supposed to get it when you're 60 or 70," Ramirez said. "I feel lucky and the Dodgers gave me something to look forward to. They said I can always come back."

Last spring, Ramirez got to meet Manny Ramirez, his favorite player at the time who is now with Tampa Bay.

"I forgot about him," he said. "I hope everything works out for him and hopefully he finds it again."

James Loney, Matt Kemp, Rafael Furcal and Juan Uribe made Chris Ramirez feel at home this time.

He remembers being more shocked than depressed when he was told he had cancer.

"I never felt sick at all," he said. "Like I told the doctors, I feel like there's nothing wrong with me. I thought they got the papers mixed up (at the hospital). When they told me I had cancer, I was like, 'Are you sure it's me?'"

Beltran said that while she was deeply upset by the news, her son remained upbeat.

"He said, 'Mom, maybe this is a way to grow up and be a better person,'" she said, "but I said he's never been a bad kid."

Ramirez wants to pursue his baseball dreams as far as he can go. If a playing career doesn't work out, he said he wants to stay in the sport through coaching or working in sports medicine.

Celtics F Davis will miss a week

An MRI on Thursday showed that Davis has patellar tendinitis, but no major damage. Davis, in his third season out of LSU, was injured in the Celtics' 115-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. He is averaging 11.6 points and 5.3 rebounds.

Boston also announced they have signed veteran forward Sasha Pavlovic, who has played in Utah, Cleveland, Minnesota, New Orleans and Dallas.

On Wednesday, Troy Murphy, another new addition to the team, made his debut. He had one point and two rebounds in 14 minutes.

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster rendered

The Lamborghini Aventador just made its debut a couple of days ago and already artists are at work rendering a different version of the sports coupe. What we're looking at is an Aventador roadster version, and we like what we see. Don't get too excited though; an actual production roadster version isn't expected until 2014.

The Aventador Roadster will look similar to the coupe version, except that the engine cover and roofline will be adapted to fit the roadster style. This rendering shows it in a silky, pearly bright-white finish with a two-tone black/white leather interior, making it look absolutely stunning.

The Aventador is powered by a new 6.5-liter V12 engine with an AWD layout that produces 700 horsepower and 479 lb/ft of torque. This engine hits 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds while blasting off a top speed of 217 mph and a redline of 8,250 RPM. With a total weight of 1575 Kg, it will deliver a power to weight ratio of 2.25 Kg/hp.

A drive in Lambo's LP700-4

Ahead of its release at this year's Geneva Motor Show, Autogespot managed to acquire this footage of Lamborghini's latest creation which will replace the Murcielago.

Although the car is still in its swirly camouflage, a little of its interior can be seen in the video. Not only does the new model have a stunning profile, it sounds brilliant as well. The unmistakable influence from the Reventon still can be seen in the front intakes and the rear lights and that's something that I hope can stay forever because the Reventon is absolutely legendary. This is probably the first glance at the new Lambo's interior so enjoy!
